Seller recommendations wanted

I've been building my collection for years just as I ran across stuff. Now I've reached a point I have to search for things I need to fill in spots. Latest thing I've decided to add/update in my collection is my 19th and 20th century Canadian and Mexican gold. - Not looking for the silly bullion issues or the restrikes of the circulating stuff but just the original years of issue of standard circulating coinage.

I don't want slabbed stuff but I do want to be able to be sure that I'm getting what I will be paying for. Any recommendations of dealers I should check out? (web presence prefered).

For Canadian I recommend CoinQuest. Free shipping on orders over C$20. Has a US addy. Very accurately graded coins. Gives discount for US funds and a super guy to deal with and offers a 15 day return privilege and he pays postage both ways. I have bought from John before and have always been satisfied.

I have been very happy with all my purchases from Steinbergs , both slabbed and unslabbed image .

    Mostly I window shop.

I've also bought from Clark Smith Numismatics Coinvault.com . Again, mostly window shopping.

There are a few ebay sellers I don't think twice about too, but I stick to slabs on ebay.

This dealer sells a lot of Mexican stuff on eBay:

Not sure if he sells Mexican gold, but he might. He seems to have pretty nice items for sale. I haven't purchased from him myself, but other members here recommended him.

    Enjoy. image
