    Yes it is. He did the same thing to an 1893-S Morgan a while ago. The difference is, this time he isn't admitting to polishing it.

    I don't think so, look more like plastic tongs.
  • Why not just save a load up, smelt it down and pour it into ingots? At least then you'd be getting what you pay for.

    The second one doesn't really look like it has been polished. It looks more like its been lacquered.
  • Yikes! I just bought a coin from the same guy in action #l, a 47-s quarter in anacs 65, really just bought the coin because I don't have anything in anacs. $20 + shipping, can't get hurt to bad.

    I wouldn't worry about seller #1, his images are good and he doesn't appear to be misrepresenting his items. Seller #2 is a problem.

    Seller #1 is local to me. Very upstanding guy with no question return policy. I once returned a coin I bought from him. Not only did he give me a full refund, he even paid my slabbing fee (without me asking for it).
