Which is worth more???

I recently bought a nice end roll toned Morgan in NGC "MS-67 Star". Now all of my collection is PCGS (just to keep it uniform).

Is the coin worth more in a NGC MS-67 Star Holder or worth more in a PCGS MS-67 holder or the same??

Depending on your answers, I might just try to cross it!!

It really depends on the selling venue. In an essentially sight-unseen sale such as eBay or Teletrade, it will bring more in the PCGS holder. In a sight-seen sale it will depend on the coin. I also have serious doubts as to whether it would cross to PCGS at MS67.

If you're not selling it, what difference does it make? If it doesn't cross, a NGC 67* is certainly worth more than a PCGS 66

Because I've handled a lot of NGC and PCGS Morgans over the last year, and because I know how reticent PCGS is to cross these coins at super grades. There are exceptions on a coin-by-coin basis, of course, but on balance PCGS grades to a tighter standard than NGC.

Absolutely, NGC supergrades for the most part don't measure up to PCGS grading standards, but I have seen some cross. We have no way to know without seeing a good image of this coin, or better yet, see it in person. NGC places a lot more emphasis on toning when considering their grade. I've seen NGC MS66*s downgrade to PCGS MS64 (and on more than just your ex-coin).
