As of 2.12.04 personal accounts have a monthly receiving limit of $1000. To receive more than that, one must upgrade to premiere or business.

There is a way to get around that limit, look:

Do Personal account Receiving Limits apply to all payment types?

No. Receiving Limits only apply to the following payment types: eBay Items, Auction Non-eBay, and Goods Other (Website sales). All other payment types will not deduct from your available monthly limit.

All of which can be paid for by eCheck.

Here's the way I am avoiding Paypal's 3% on auctions I just listed:

I have a personal and premier account. On the low value items listed, I use the personal account (no credit cards). On the higher value items, I say Paypal by Echeck only. Just accepted an off-EBay offer on my 1901-S Barber Q (no bids yet), and he paid by Echeck, no problem.
