Beckett Online Price Guide 3.99

Is the 3.99 a month worth it? How is it different then the regular feature they have that you look up single cards with? I will probably try it but figured Id ask and see if anyone has used it.

I have to say "no". Here's why. If you buy a subscription to one of the Beckett
magazines, it's a lot cheaper then buying them each month, which cost around $4.00
at the local shop here. The subscription price is $2.08 per magazine. And with
the abaility to look up each card for free anyway on there site, I think the price
is very high. I had filled out a survey once and received a free month online.
One thing I found out really quick was all the parallel cards were not listed,
which is one thing I really use a lot. Well, hope that helps you a little.

Its worth it if you are seriouly collecting a few sets..so you can just copy and paste the detail to excel. The good part about the online price guide is that it lists every card in the set.

    I agree.
it is not the priceguide that is worth it
but rather the Checklists that are.
(and they are good for players as well as sets)

FYI, i dont subscribe to the price guide, but if you need to look something up, you can do it for free..
just click on the PRICE GUIDES link on beckett.com and it'll have a banner advertising "TRY IT FREE" and you can do it as many times as you want, its just a little more hassle, but I dont use it enough to pay em 3.99.. so take advantage of the free link

  • If you're signed up with Beckett.com and you've indicated that you will accept emails from them, every so often (4-6 weeks) you will be asked to complete a hobby related survey. These take about 5 minutes....upon completion of the survey they give you a 1 month free OPG of your choice.

Thanks for the responses. In the next 2 months Im going to be selling like crazy once my inventory gets in. I bit the bullett and took a 3 month to ALL of the guides. I have been "out of the loop" for awhile and figure it will be a handy up to date refrence. AND I can write it off as acompany expense... image

I will let you know if it was worth it in 3 months.....
