Boy, am I lucky...not only did I get a very nice letter but he sent me personal photo's he took of Guido before his death, some articles related to Goetz, and last but not least, information on a number of medals that are not in either of his reference books. New medals that are essentially unknown to the world...at least until I get my website built He has sent me personal letters from collectors from around the world with correction data for the two volumes. He is thouroughly impressed with my photography and feels good about his decision to allow me to be the one to carry forward. I feel truly honored!!!

BTW, Cosmic had asked me in a similar thread if I didn't have to also get permission from the publisher. I asked Mr. Kienast about this and he said I already have, he was the publisher and the publishing company. Now I have a lot to learn about HTML and webpage design....

Congratulations Scott. You realize that this is a unique chance you've got here, seldom offered to any collector. Almost as good as knowing Karl Goetz in person. As for the website, I think it would be a shame not to collaborate with cosmic (perhaps later), especially since he's more into patterns and you're into medals, and since you both suck in coin photography....
