"Presidential $1" silver eagle alternative?

I know it's too late now, as the wheels of government buerocracy grind out the new "Presidential $1" series to debut in 2006, BUT wouldn't that same series "fit" better on the Silver Eagle? It gives the design a bigger pallet, it could be done in a reverse proof to highlight the portraits, and like other countries silver bullion coinage it gives collectors a new design (or 4 in this case) to look forward to each year. I know I'm spitting into the wind on this, but it just seemed to make better sense than what is being proposed.

Not permenantly, just for the series. I don't like dead prez's on coins either but if the govment's got their mind made up to do a new series I thought it might look better on the silver eagle.

Who says they have to REPLACE the walking liberty? Why not produce both? Collectors will buy the new series, but they will also buy the popular walking liberty to keep their sets current.
