anyone ever deal with higbees.com on ebay?

they have a 99.7% positive rating, but i find that hard to believe with $7.00 SHIPPING CHARGES FOR A SINGLE GRADED CARD!

The listing seems pretty well done... did you email the seller to see if it is a mistake. I noticed they are also auctioning lots of cards. Maybe the $7 was a leftover in reference to a bigger item.

If not, then I'd deduct some from my high bid to compensate for the exorbitant shipping if you aren't too turned off at that point!

  • Shipping is probably through UPS. I did buy from them long time ago (box of yankees legends) on their website. I remember I got the box $20 cheaper. They honor the sale and the next thing I know they change the price on their website after that. Everything went smooth. They used to send me fliers/catalog of graded and ungraded cards mostly in 70's and 80's.

Years ago I bought an 82T traded set, he went out of his way to make sure it was a good set; the keys were NmMt and centered; for the price, you would think I was spending a lot more $.

  • i've noticed a lot of high volume dealers are raising their shipping prices- first it was $3, then 4...now it's common to see $5-7...for a single graded card that costs < $2 to ship via regular mail. i think it's just a way to compensate for the $$$ they lose on listing fees, paypal fees, etc.
