Always looking for original, better date VF20-VF35 Barber quarters and halves, and a quality beer.

Not my favorite toning, but I could learn to love it. Looks like some nice deep blue on the obverse!
  • It probably looks better in person. I'm not wild about it.

I am not the least bit impressed with these bag toned coins. I could bake my own in burlap.

Carefully preserved coins are far more impressive. ( Light rim toning, and white centers ) image

Toning is really an attack upon the surface of the coin, right? Well, this one is under severe attack. But, if you like toners, go for it.

Sometimes it's hard to judge a toner by a Teletrade picture. They aren't always very good at capturing the coin correctly.

Hard to tell from the photograph but I also have a feeling the coin looks much better under proper lighting.

That is amazing Russ. My first impulse was to say ugly, but---maybe..

I like the reverse, but the obverse toning looks....well my first thought was of a burnt marshmellow held over a campfire too long! LOL

The luster on washingtons can be so beautiful, they shouldn't be hid.

Not too bad, probably nicer in hand.. the deep mint set toning of 58s are interesting. Would definitely take over an unatural dipped white piece.image
