K-481 New Years Plaquette,1933, Cast AE, Uniface, Edge incuse, 65X75mm. Rare
Face: Legend:[on barrel organ] JEDEM/SEINEN/KURBEL/KASTEN/D(EUTSCHES) – R(EICHS) – G(EBRAUCHS) – M(USTER) (To each his own barrel organ, patented). Bottom: MOGS’S – GUT – SEIN – K – GOETZ (May it be a good one K. Goetz).
In some instances during the Holiday Season Goetz would create a New Years 'Card' in bronze. These he sent to a few very close friends, business associates and his more important clients. These New Years plaques were created for 1914, 1918, 1925,'26, '27, '28 & 1933. Because these were special occasion creations for his own personal use they never went onto a price list, no extras were cast for inventory, and none were ever re-cast later on. Most have not shown up on the secondary market so there is nothing to use as a price guide. One is pictured in Keinast and a couple are pictured in Goetz II but some have no illustration available. Even Goetz himself didn't have any to show to Kienast for illustration or description.

I realize it's no fun posting something as fascinating and as seldom seen as this plaquette and then only get one response to the thread. Is that why you're agitating for a medallic forum?
I promise to pay more attention to these medallic posts-don't stop them!

My opinion, anyway.
