heritage question

I just bought my first box - How do you know what the short prints are? - and what is the difference between a refractor and the "non refractor"???

ps - this was the first modern stuff I have purchased in 5 years! I paid $70 for a box of 24 packs with 8 cards each - was this a bad deal?

  • $70 for a Hobby box is pretty good. At the Ft. Washington show there were dealers asking $100+ on Friday night.

As far as your refractor question, you only need to look at the Chrome parallels. The refractors have a rainbow effect when you tilt the card.

    Welcome to the addiction.

Retail boxes are the way to go. Greedy dealers who didn't sell this stuff will now be stuck with it as
retail is not only cheaper but has better pulls. 70 bucks is better than the retail price, but I bet if you
would of bought some 30 dollar boxes you would of had better pulls. Good Luck and let us know
    who you pull

PS as far as the chromes, you can just look on the back where the card number is and it will tell
you which..also /1955 are chromes....555 are the retros and 55 are the blacks.

Got a HUFF auto, and an arod special card and regular card - dont think the special card is a refractor though. Definitely going to put the set together for fun. ALso trying to put together a raw 79 set, and if any of you have vending quality cards, let me know, as I need about half the set all commons - thanks.
