Now, grade the Morgan

Nice color on this one, but am wondering about an AU grade. I can't tell if it's rub above the ear and the eagle's chest, or just a weak strike in those spots. Sending off to ANACS.

    Not sure if the picture is bad but the surface looks odd like it might have been cleaned.

    from the photos it looks MS. I think the funny look and color is from the method of how the picture was taken and manipulated.

    I sharpened it to make it easier to see the "flat" areas. I guess you can't really tell anything from this pic.

    It appears to be uncirculated to me with a typical strike for that date. Can't really get a feel for the exact grade since the image is somewhat grainy. Looks like good toning though.
  • Whenever I see an O m/m, I'm biased towards weak strike. My vote is MS with weak strike.

    Why are you sending a common date morgan that may not even be MS in to ANACS for grading? Seems to me that it really wouldn't be worth the slabbing fee- or am I missing something?
