Which coin software is the best?

I have notices several ad's in the coin publications for computer software. Which one do you use, why and which one do you feel is the best.

Comments

  • At the moment, I don't use any.
I've heard many members use Excel.
A bit more expensive than some "coin" software,
    but much more versatile.
Use it for cataloging your coins, music, movies,
    and more.

I use my own on MS Access. Anyone's welcome to a copy to use as long as they have Access on the computer.

  • Ditto on what mgoodm3 said.

You can customize your DB in Access to do just about anything you need it to do. Just takes a bit of time to learn if you've never used it before, but worth the effort.

I currently use Excel, but it's klunky. I would like to have images and some software allows automatic price updates.

dpoole uses Coin Collector's Assistant Plus by Carlisle Development and has been very happy with it. My Dad just bought it a couple weeks ago to catalog his collection and has been very happy with it. Here it the link.

I've used Coin Elite for years. The way you pick your pictures from the file menu is kind of clunky but I like the way you can sort your coins by date, grade, price, grading company etc.
But whatever you use BACK YOUR DATA UP!!!!!
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

I bought Coin Elite when it first came out and would never use anything else.

It handles anything I would ever care to do. It also comes with a grading program.

You can also get price updates if you wish.
