Newbie Says Hi, and apologizes for being an idiot

I have been lurking and learning around here for a while and wanted to say "Hello" to everyone. This seems like a fun and knowledgeable group.

Now for the dumb question: I have word-searched all over the place including the nice post called "Posting Pictures 101 For Newbies", but I cannot find anything that tells me how to upload a new Author Icon. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You !!!!!

I am still having a hard time posting photos out here. Well, at least ones that do the coins justice. You want "itiot" read my thread...hahahaha and welcome

Welcome aboard! Author Icon day is held on or around the 15th of every month. They'll turn it on and it'll show up in the profile. I believe the maximum size is 100x100 pixels and 10kb filesize... oh, and if the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday, it's done the last business day before the 15th.

Yes, carolj usually posts a message when "icon upload" is on. Click the profile button and there's an extra choice to load
your new icon.

K6AZ - Need to know how to upload it right here. I know how to upload to the message itself (thanks to jonesy's thread), just have to wait 'til the option appears to upload an Author Icon on or about the 15th.

Halfcents: Welcome! I actually am a real oldtimer since I first started using the Collectors Universe chat board back in 1996 or 1997 when it was completely different.

Let me be competely honest with you......I still haven't figured out how to do the author icon thing either.

After you get it all figured out, you can have the honor of teaching me how to do it!!

But not until after April 15th (end of tax season).
