Ever heard of the Term "Double Profile"

Just got back a 1984 Lincoln from PCI which I thought was a DDO..its lable as a "Double Profile"...I assume this means Strike doubling, or am I doublly wrong..(no pun intended)

Ear is doubled on the 1984 Lincoln. That's probably it. It's a premium variety, nice score!

Yes that should be strike doubling, also known as machine doubling or MDD.
