If they are using the pic that is on your site, put a very embarassing picture with the same name on your site, they will get the hint quickly.
If they copied your picture, I'm not sure you can easily do anything.

did I mis-understand this?
I read it to say, you took a pic from someone else and are using it, and now are PO'd because someone else is using it?
I read it 147 times, and that is the impression I get.
Is it April 1st?
It'll make it more difficult for others to use. Yes, they can still copy your image and edit out your text, but they'll probably take the easy route instead & search for someone else's clean picture to steal.

You take great photos. I'd use them to if I was selling a wide rim 79.
Actually, I have alway thought of adding my ebay ID to my pics and after seeing what happened here I think I will.
I know in photoshop you can add wording to the pic or layer transparent letters to it. I'll have to do a little expierementing today.

Sterling used a sba pic in a previous auction of his that started on 2/26.
Travelr used the same pic on all his auctions that started after 3/7
Now sterling uses the same pic from his 2/26 auction and adds a couple of MD's pic to it also.
So Traveler copied from Sterling who copied from MD
I think that's right, Because Sterling hasn't sold anything in awhile.

666 posts....................The devil made me do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What I was trying to communicate is I noticed two sellers with the same images which was my first post which was a general statment. It wasn't until after I looked a little better at the auction of sterling-coins did I realize that two of the images he was using were mine. Hence, the second thread which now has to do with MY BLOODY auction.
I am sorry for the confusion
I will go away now and deal with in my own way
Yes, trooper is correct. Sorry I should have posted this all different but I had too many things going at once...my bad
and the room is spinnin'!

I didn't realize you were referencing a thread, I thought you were referencing an auction - which means I did not have enough caffine at that time, because now - it's clear as, well, mud.
sorry for my misunderstanding of your misundertsanding of my misunderstanding

The sellers has removed the image from his auction as promised. I also guess he visits this forum and has been getting quite a few emails on this matter. As far as I am concerned the matter is closed and I have learned a lesson from this. My images will now be water marked in hopes of this not happening again. The seller said my images were very good and represented a 79 SBA wide rim very well.
As I said he has apologized and put an end to this.
Thanks all for trying to understand the sometimes confused rambling of a crazed Irishmen

have had the same thing happen several times...Here is what I have done to stop it (And scare
the thief too
1) Report the image theft to E-Bay....Here is the link:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/confidence/vero-image-text-theft.html
2) Send a copy of this e-mail to the thief...
3) E-Mail the bidders of the auction of the thief, showing them where they can go to bid on the
"actual" item...
Let me know what you think...
