You know, it's funny-- I was sitting here, surveying the message board, when I suddenly thought to myself 'self, you know what's wrong with baseball? No, it's not that half of today's sluggers have been shooting turkey basters full of steroids into their backsides, or that the length of the season makes the 100 Years War look like a hiccup in the annals of history-- it's that America has this game, which it adores, and yet there seems to be a severe paucity of Yankee memoribilia out there! I mean, you almost just can't find it!!

C'mon, America, dig those baseballs signed by 'The Mick' out of the chests in your attic! Rustle up those 'Bambino' jerseys, those bats signed by the '27 Yanks! Let's see some of this stuff finally hit the auction blocks, where it can finally find homes where it will be aptly appreciated!

And another thing-- when will the Yankees finally pony up the money for some quality free agents! I mean, New Yorks a pretty big city; I'll bet you baseball could really take off there, if only Steinbrenner would loosen up the checkbook and toss a few shekels to Brian Cashman!!

Well, now with it looking like Sheffield's out, George is probably wishing he'd gone a little harder after Vladimir Guerrero!

Nothing like roids to break a guy down. Look for Giambi to rip out of his skin too!
