Well this is a first

NOTE- i posted this on the open forum, but decided to post here as well. with all the negativity it's always nice to share a great experience

i recently sold a 1973 Topps hockey Eddie Giacomin PSA 9 1/1 on ebay for $14.50. i was hoping to get at least $30-$40 since it was a one of one, but you win some and you lose some. i got payment for it today, and imagine my surprise when i found a check for $35. enclosed was a note saying "bump to $35- fairer price for the Giacomin PSA 9." the seller actually included $20 extra because he felt the price was too low.

his ebay ID is pcate. i don't know if he posts or reads the boards, but he is truly a class act.

  • Interesting and delightful.

I just had a customer include an extra $10 just to specify that I not include a copy of the invoice with his cards. That was nice and a first for me. Heck, sometimes I FORGET to include the invoice! image

While we're handing out compliments to ebay members, I'd like to add the seller dd1256 to the list.

I received 2 early 1900s Tobacco cards from them today along with $0.85 in change because I overpaid for shipping on the 2 auctions that I won. Although the $0.85 isn't a big deal to me, the fact that this seller was honest enough to send a refund (I wouldn't have even noticed otherwise) says a lot.

If this seller has anything that I'm looking for on ebay in the future, you can bet that I will put a little extra in my bid because of it.
