Do scammers use this forum as an educational resource?

Has anyone seen any evidence that scammers, probably just lurking, use this forum to measure reaction to their various ploys...and then modify them accordingly?

I haven't seen any evidence of that, and I doubt they would bother anyway. There's enough stupid people in the world to keep the scammers busy without having to worry about us smart folk here .

I wouldn't be surprised if Hager and cronies (and others) lurk here. Around the time of the Stuppler hearings, they were actively reading RCC and blocking bids from all posters.

And where do you think Clayton Spencer got the idea to include "Red Devil Website" in one of the bogus negatives he dropped on me?

And as far as the question of the thread, yes, scammers and unethical people do read this board, and some even post here masquerading as "collectors".

I've suspected that for some time.

They're easy to spot when they join in and back up certain habits of dealers that no collector would agree with.
