Mass mailings from Vargha?

I just received the strangest email in my bulk box-- an email from 'davidvargha@hotmail.com', with an attachment. I hate to delete anything from the 'post king' without looking at it, but since Vargha and I have never had any offline dealings I'm reluctant to open it. Anyone have any ideas on what this is, or what it's doing in my mailbox?

  • Just like Darrell Royal, former Texas football coach said about passing the ball. Three things can happen and two of 'em are bad.

Mail from Vargha, three things can happen and two of 'em are bad:

    (1) spam.
    (2) virus.
    (3) an offer for free cards.image

    it is a WORM
    and that means
that it was a virus infected attachment
and it was NOT from Vargha because
it changes the address that it is really from.

It means that someone who hase Vargha and your email address in the same Outlook Address book has been infected.
    Who is Rober Maris?

    ugh.

I opened the email, but I didn't open the attachment. Do you think I'm safe, or is there something I should do?

    Thanks,

as long as you did not open the attachment you are fine.

what you "should do" is load and run NORTON ANTI-VIRUS
so that you will never have to worry about that stuff
it checks everything as it comes in.

Thanks, guys, for taking the time to respond here. I'm a computer moron, so I appreciate it.
