Submission With or Without Original Wrapper

I am about to submit about 100 Nolan Ryan's to PSA. I have a couple of complete sets of Mother's Cookies cards for Ryan in their original wrappers. My question - should I submit them in their original wrappers (they are clear wrappers) or open them up. On the one hand, I want PSA to see that they have never been removed from their wrappers to hopefully heighten the likelihood of a 10. On the other hand, I had a friend tell me they wouldn't grade cards still in their wrappers, even if they are clear. Does anyone know the answer to this and whether I should submit with wrapper intact or cut open?
As an aside, I previously submitted another set of Mother's Cookies cards for Ryan that came back with 3 PSA 8's and 1 PSA 7, even though I had cut them out of the wrappers immediately before putting them in their holders for shipment. I don't want that to happen again. I thought they were 9's at a minimum, though honestly I'm not a highly skilled grader.

Looking for Nolan Ryan PSA 10's.

I would call PSA customer service on that one! It's not a bad idea, but I guess they'd have to slab them in tall boys... they just might do it.
Let us know what happens!

You have to take the Mother's Cookies out of the wrappers for submission. You also have to look them over carefully. Alot of times they will have cookie dust on them which can be removed carefully with a kleenex. Also check for indentations in the surface, sometimes the surface was damaged by the cookies they were packed with, you cant miss this it looks like crop circles on the cards. Another problem with them is that they will have "dangling" chads on the corners, these can be removed but sometimes leave a little paper spike on the corner which will get you into PSA 8 and PSA 7 territory in a hurry.
Thats pretty much my experience with them and I submitted a bunch.

Gotta love those Ryan sets!!
If you want it slabbed in the wrapper send it to a grading company that grades packs, if you want it slabbed by PSA then open it first.
Hope you get better than a 3.
