British? Canadian??

Found a coronation token for George VI, was wondering where it is from.

Also, what would be a fair price for it??

This is the official medal for the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, minted by the Royal Mint. The engraver was P. Metcalfe.
    Mintage figures:
    57mm gold - 274
    57mm silver - 9,051
    32mm gold - 422
    32mm silver - 87,143
    32mm bronze - 78,078

In addition, a further quantity of about 6,000 of each was struck in 32mm in silver and bronze from the master dies supplied to the Calcutta mint for distribution in India.

Catalogued as BHM 4314 in Laurence Brown's British Historical Medals 1760-1960 Volume 3

It's not mine, but it can be for about $5.00 plus shipping from France. Was just curious about it. I have a couple of tokens from Canada, not sure where they are, or even what they are, but I know they are there, somewhere. I think I will grab this up.

    thanks all,
    Scott

That would be a steal at $5 IMO.
