Coin hunting update from Maui.....

Just returned from a vacation/business trip from Maui. The weather was cool and wet with flash-flood warnings.

The last 2 days were nice so we wandered into Lahaina where there was a coin shop. PNG dealer even! Had a nice selection of material, a few Hawaiian coins to include 3 cents in EF or so. Unusual to find 3 I guess, or so the dealer noted. I know nothing about Hawaiian coins so bought the book instead! It's maiking for enjoyable reading. There was a nice smattering of coins in all series, a 1892-CC Morgan looking especially tempting, roughly MS64 PL but raw. Since I don't do Morgans, I passed on it. No IHC varieties.

Anyway, should you find yourself in Lahaina, it's definitely worth a stop.

I have been to that coin shop many times while in Maui. I still have a nice toned 1893 commem from that shop. I bought it because it reminds of the sunset in Maui where I stay. I bought a nice Hawaiian half dollar there and sold it. Fun area of town and a lot of history.
