Why King Kellogg is the king

Larry is a cool guy for sure. He and I scoured the floor of the Northwest national show yesterday in Tacoma.

He was nice enough to introduce me to a bunch of the other PSA guys (nice to meet everyone) and share loads upon loads of his wisdom. I told him that my short time on this board has restored alot of what I missed about card collecting. Looking out for one another and the friendships built that go very far beyond just being about the "money".

Collecting is fun again. Its been years (hah, Im only 27) since I could honestly say this.

Hope to get to know a few more of you guys here. Special thanks to Larry the King for all the wisdom.

    theplasticman...

Thanks for the kind words... Looks like your enthusiasiam will take you directly to the top. I was really impressed with the data you collected on Murray, Clark, and Erstad. WOW!!! Time that really showed your compassion for collecting. Looks like you showed the 'ole KING a thing or two about "cherry pickin'" the dealers....As I was about to leave, I saw you had a pile of cards, and the dealer had a couple of bucks......(Good job Kid!!...). I hope we walk the convention floors again soon...

.........A little story, maybe the board can relate.... I arrived at the "Dome" show just as the collectors were entering the building......Rats!!!. I was hoping to sound off in line "HEY...ANY OF YOU GUYS BELONG TO THE PSA REGISTRY"????.. Hoping to meet face to face with some of the posters....I was 1 minute late...I missed my chance....Oh Well... When I got inside, I realized that I had no clue what "theplasticman" and "only_me63" even looked like.... I had met "wolfbear" and "late70stopps" but they weren't there (Funky Frank had already called and bowed out..) ......Hmmmmm, now what do I do??? ... After about an hour, I thought all hope was lost...... THEN.....Like a voice from the heavens, the promoter gets on the microphone system and announces the first "Daily Drawing Winner"..... You guessed it....Josh (the plasticman) had just won a cheap bobble head!!!! I ran to the podium and soon after, I was face to face with the board member himself......Pretty cool, don't you think??? We spent the rest of the show swaping grading styles and picking up cards...

    Had a great time....

    Zardoz51.....

Z........Where in the world have you been??????...Since you've been absent, the board has changed...Martha Stewart exchanges her homemade "tin can" potting tips for a real "tin can" cigarette butt ash tray, 1 million cards have been graded by PSA, and Janet Jackson bares her breast on National TV........

    WELCOME BACK!!!!!!!!!

(Now you aren't still upset with me for lifting your billfold, credit cards, spare change, and whatever that thing was in you coat pocket.....were you?????.... I gave everything back....well, except the $20 that I used to by beer for you......LOL.....)

Really Zardoz...... It's been WAY TO LONG......We all miss your posts...

    'mon back...

    onlyme63...

    We missed you....

There is another "Dome" show in 3 months......Let's all meet..

May I suggest "checking in" at Barry Surgarman's table. He's a long time Dome dealer, and also has the best vintage cards at the show. I'm sure he would like to meet the Registry guys (as he has before..) and help introduce board members.

    wolfbear...

How was the golfing??? I looked at those clear skies on Sat. morning and thought...Hmmmm..Maybe no wolfie today.......We'll catch up at the next one or the National...

Okay, I cant seem to spend this money fast enough.

Larry - Maybe should announce some sort of PSA dinner for all the Seattle/Portland area folks. If not before the next Dome show, maybe that Saturday night.

We could ravage all the dealers gems and then go eat some meat and potatoes.
