Well been here a short time and hope (if my loan comes through) to stay a bit longer. I use to do sig files for another forum in my spare time. Well here is a few I did in the last hour or so. Feel free to use them in your post. If you want a sig file let me know. I will do my best to accomodate.
Qcards there may be a way to link your site to the sig. I just havent figured it out. Maybe these boards do not support it. You could put a link under it though.

Very nice...I sent you a PM.

Evening good buddy - thanx - it seems you went thru a lot of trouble - what is your email address - mine is mesablanca1110@yahoo.com - need to talk. Thanx, Mike
Question - can you make those things a lot smaller? Just curious.
Dave
Now collecting:
Topps Heritage
1957 Topps BB Ex+-NM
All Yaz Items 7+
Various Red Sox
Did I leave anything out?
<< <i>Anything you could do Aknot for a moderncollector like me would be appreciated...I have a keen interest in '02 & '03 Bowman Chrome ...and Paul Newman movies... >>
How bout this:
One of the nice things about these forums is that there is a lot of intelligent discussion and very little cluttering it up. I would hate to see these forums become like the unreadable Beckett forums (if you don't know what I mean, spend 5 minutes there...) Thanks for reading.
But on the other hand (I have yet to see the Beckett boards but will check as soon as I am done typing) sig files help "point out" certain posters once you get to know their sig file. They also can give a lot more information quicker then a few lines of text. The files should only have to load once as they would already be in the users cache files.
Its one of those double edged swords......(at least I think)
I tried reading up on Fuse Talk forums but didnt get far, I think you need to have permission either that or their site is not laid out that well.
Are there "moderators" for these boards? Maybe I can discuss this issue with them and there may be some recourse to keep us all happy. The "sig" files are just another "Hobby" of mine, I like playing with Photoshop and its a nice way to "practice".
Without getting stuffy, I do think of this board as the "thinking man's board"; that said, I enjoy the BGS boards, which though sophomoric at times, is lots of fun for the modern collector...and since my handle there is "moderncollector", there is much to discuss. Also, the activity on those boards is 100X as active as this one.
So, in defense of those boards, which was an acquired taste at first, it is a fantastic place for Bowman Chrome fanatics and fans of today's players.
Finally, since I have Phillies phenom Cole Hamels in my sig line there, which is a personal expression of my interests, I have to also defend the light-hearted fun board members have there with their sig lines , some of which are very imaginative and funny.
CTSOX fan, your a good guy, but its inevitable that you will run into features on any page that dial-up will have problems with....maybe the opportunity to upgrade to cable modem is the better solution.
<< <i>Aknot,
I don't want to disparage your efforts at all,
but has anyone commented on the size of these things? >>
They are very nice looking, Aknot
You did a great job! (wish I could do that)
As to the size,
CAROL has addressed this before
and even instituted an "official policy"
about the sig lines size requirements in the wake
of several people's abuse of the system...
Here is the Official ruling from Carol
Let me know when you can resize mine to fit the current parameters. If you need to get rid of the red car to d it .. thats okay.

they will all be done b4 tonight. The people that are using them now will not have to do anything. It will be all taken care of by the man behind the curtain....but ignore him.....
<< <i>BigK thanks. I will have them all within the required limit by tonight. >>
These are more good guidlines
for all to follow than they are
Strick Rules that you must follow or be punished.
I was only pointing it out as it had
actually come up before,
but the only reason that Carol addressed
it at all, is that several members went
crazy with their sig line pics for a short time
(myself included).
now, the most important thing is that
You are doing something truly NICE and
Unexpected for several members
and that it is such a RARE thing these days!
That is the kind of thing we LOVE on these
boards!
(like helping people save their collections,
or keeping someone's family in your thoughts
and prayers when there is a need, or
putting aside petty board squabbles when
serious needs or problems arise. THAT is what
is REALLY great about these boards!)

I agree, and I don't want that to get lost in my observations about this. I figured there were standards in place, but I wasn't sure where to find them (thanks BKAH). Beach, I do have a cable modem, but when I travel I use my lap-top (often on dial-up) which prompted that comment. I agree with you about those boards being a good source for modern collectors (I consider myself one, but my favorite stuff is 1973-1980), but you often need to wade through a lot of window dressing to find it. Thanks again, aknot, for understanding.
Everyones sig file (except for mine) at this time should be well within the limits. Let me know if you are still happy with it (size clarity etc.)or I can go back and rework it.
Ct what does the CT stand for BTW?
