Maybe it should be listed in a major auction as Mint State 89 and then have PCGS buy it back for $35K or so

This is obviously a proof and should be returned for proper holdering.

Put it in your Registry Set, you'll have the highest MS grade.

PCGS will fix it for free, but I thinks I'd leave it alone. It may have more value as an error holdered coin.

They should take the title "Finalizer" a little more seriously!

Good question on the finalizer. There are several coins in the Ike series that are this way as well. You'd think they could get it right.

How about the full steps???? Every proof of this date has at least 5 steps. Send it back in for that!

Sort of like the fact that one of the pop 10/0 MS67 1967 Kennedys is a CAMEO. In other words, an SMS coin in the database as a business strike.

PCGS doesn't seem to care, though. They've been told numerous times and have never fixed it.

You would think that an MS69 Jeff would ring bells at PCGS that maybe they should look at the coin twice since it would be a $10K coin if it were real.
