Anyone get a postcard from Heritage announcing they are a known spammer?

Kind of funny since they do seem to spam a lot. Guess you get what you deserve.

Now all heritage email to yahoo goes right in the spam folder

Heritage spams a lot? I've never gotten any spam from them. I do get regular eMails that I agreed to receive by not opting out when I signed up at their site. I wasn't aware that they were sending unsolicited eMails to anyone.

  • Internet companies that send a lot of email, even if legitimate may have their emails blocked because many servers automatically identify those emails as spam.

Its not what you are thinking.

Heritage is telling you to notify your email server to let them know you want to receive their emails, if infact you do.

I get offers for individual coins in series that I have never collected nor have been interested. I get "important" emails that do not fit into any of their categories and do NOT include an opt out option.

I get maybe 1-2 emails from Heritage a month, mostly just announcing new collections coming up for sale......If its nothing I am interested in, I just delete em.

Did you sign up as a member at their site? Did you opt out of receiving eMail at their site? If the answers are yes and no, you are not getting spammed.

  • I receive the email from Heritage. But, I enjoy them and have signed up to receive them.

  • I work for a software company.

Another reason a company can be identified as a spammer is that someone can hack their exchange server and spam folks using their server. Many spammers do this on a regular basis. Once this happens, it is a 3-6 month process to get off the blacklist.

I really have a problem with ISPs deciding what you can and can't do. A lot of them have blocked port 25 out, and now there are some attempting to block outside news server ports so you can't sign up for a premium news server.

As for Heritage's emails, I run my own mail server with my own black and white lists. Works for me.
