Question on shipping/insurance valuation to PSA

I'm preparing my 1st submission on my '69's and see that even though there is a 50 card minimum order , invoices only contain 25 lines and the wording makes it seem that you need to figure a seperate shipping/insurance charge for each invoice. This of course makes the shipping charge over 50% more only because PSA doesn't have a longer invoice. Is it possible to attach a second sheet to an invoice or combine the return shipping charges for 1 order even though it's 2 invoices? What do you all do? Also, along the same line, how do you value your cards for the invoices ....by your cost, replacement value , SMR ? Thanks very much for your replies. I know the questions must be easy ones for those who are PSA veterans.

Good question. I will be in the same boat here in a bit. Does this forum have "stickies" so questions like this can be stuck at the top?

You know, I'm not sure Aknot. I don't remember seeing any stickied threads.

a thread gets to the top when it is the last one replied too....i believe anyway
    Good for you.

That's correct Win but on some message boards you can "sticky" or "tack" a thread to the top as long as you want it there. That's what Aknot was referring to. Just an option on some like Ezboards.

As long as we keep posting it will stay up there anyway .image

    Print two invoices.
Cross out the invoice number on the 2nd one and replace it with the 1st invoice number.
Then, cross out the numbers 1-25 on the 2nd invoice and write in 26-50.
That way you only pay the one return shipping charge.

As to valuation, use SMR. If you expect a PSA 8 back, use the dollar amount from the 8 column in the SMR, etc.

  • In answer to your question about invoices. I have called PSA about this and the answer is, Type in your card information online(or just print out same submission form as many times you will need to complete submission and type out submissions) and when you reach the 25th line just print out Submisson form(All pages). After printing out form with first 25 submissons then type over information that's on the online form and when finished with second 25, repeat process until done with submissions. (Key is after first 25 submissions just print out first 2 pages for submission 26-50. Then write on top of pages 1 of 2(on pages for submissions 1-25) and 2 of 2( on top of pages for submissions 26-50). They will only count this as 1 submission. Also, place your total value on the first submission page only (1 of 2). Finally, I also placed the (1 of 2 and 2 of 2) information on each sticker that I attached to card. Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot Dave, I'll do this next submission as I've already used wolf's method for this one. image
