skewerd pop report/jefferson

I was looking at the pops on the 71 no-S jeff the other day. Mine is a PR68CAM, and
I have never tryed to upgrade it, IMHO its 69cam...heres where it begins though...says
theres 25 in my grade...DOUBT IT...resubbs for that coveted 69CAM/DCAM has these numbers
skewerd....

anyone want to comment?

    I also have a PR-68CAM which I have not tried to regrade (solid 68). I don't know its past history though. They are so infrequently seen that I would think the population report reflects multiple upgrade attempts.

  • I have one too. So that makes 3 for sure image I never tried mine as I think it is graded properly. It has a DCAM obverse but the reverse clearly isn't.

    Mine is still rawimage I'll probably submit it in a week or so. I grade it 67 with a shot at dcamimageimage Obverse is dcam, the reverse is on the edge (deep mirrors, but perhaps the frost is a bit weak). It sounds like the fresh obverse no-S die was paired with a (slightly used) reverse die that had already minted a few nickels. Especially in the early 70's and before, the obverse and reverse dies were changed as "needed", not necessarily at the same time. That's why there are so many one-sided cameos from that time period.
