Submission status?

I sent in my submission under the Feb special $5/card 10 days ago, on Monday Feb 23rd. I have not received any confirmation of PSA having received the package yet. Do you think that because of them being swamped from the special that that is the reson why? Has anyone else's submissions taken this long to be confirmed at PSA? Of course, you know I'm worried about the ole "lost in the mail" problem. I will feel better if this has been common during this special for others.

  • I think their receiving department has to be snowed. I sent two submissions in last week -- one vintage 60-71 and one special -- neither has been logged in as yet. I always insure my shipments with a tracking number so I'm not terribly concerned. But I'd imagine that a whole bunch of people sent in special submissions last week to beat the Feb. 29 deadline.

    Edited for typo.
  • Yep! I have 2 submission I'm still waiting for and still haven't been checked in yet. I sent in on 02/03/04
    I have a 100 card lot I sent in and a 14 card PSA/DNA lot I'm waiting for.

Sent in on 2/3??? I'd be raising hell. Everyone else's has been checked in around 10 days later or so.

Another thing: has anyone had them cash your check (or your CC) when your cards arrived, but "checked in" later? Now THAT would really piss me off, though my 200 card order (rec'd March 1), it hasn't happened. Yet. I'm curious to see if it will.

I'm sure a load of cards came in the last couple of days of the special. I sent my orders in on the final day....just to be certain I had all the raw cards in the order that I was going to get.

I sent a 19 card order to PSA/DNA on 2/12 and have yet to receive the confirmation e-mail. I can understand PSA being swamped but I wouldn't think that PSA/DNA would be....I guess I'm not sure of the process of authentication AND grading though...

Shipped mine out one 2/27 and the post office says it was delivered on 3/1. So, I figure that I'll give to till the 10th to see it get checked in. I'll also keep an eye on my visa account to see when thats charged. But, since its what... a 45 day special? I'm really not going to worry about a couple of days.

ABBAdad - It took about 2 1/2 weeks from the date I sent a submission on the 70's special before it was logged in.

    Frank - Stay tuned!

  • PSA Really need to get the ball rolling on this, they should check it items faster and not worry about getting cards back to us faster...I for one would rather have the confirmation they have my cards ( i still send DC and insurance) and get them on the day of the alloted date but all this limbo where they are really makes me mad.........
  • I don't get it. I sent mine on 2/28 they logged both submissions in on 3/2 and I got grades on my club submission and it already shipped. My set reg submission is logged in and shows no status. Did everyone write on the outside of the box what service they were shipping? I was told that that would speed it up and I also sent mine with a return reciept requested so I knew for sure when they were picked up. Good luck guys I don't understand.

I sent a 16 card submission in under the Feb. "CC' Special - Mailed it in Feb. 27th........Date checked in....Mar. 3rd.......Posted grades Mar. 5th and shipped Mar. 5th......Super Fast Service ! After reading some of the horror stories on the board , I wasn't really expecting to getting my cards graded that quick ! Hoping to recieve them Mon. or Tues. ............if anyone is interested , my Submission order # 553572........zip......62561......was right on 14 out of the 16 submitted.......the one big disappointment was the 1969 Gibson Allstar that graded a 7 ..........thought it was just as nice as the '69 McCovey that got a 8 ! ...............Robby

I sent mine registered mail a couple weeks ago and deliver confirmation shows they picked it up about a week ago. However, when I check the status it shows they haven't been logged in yet. I assume they are back logged. I know they picked it up so I'm not too worried. Those $5 specials have to generate plenty of business as everyone seems to wait for them to occur.

    Robby,
I can not believe how fast you got your cards. Mine were checked on Feb 6 and still no grades. Why aren't they using a first in/first out system?

jimtb - the grades posted so fast becasue it was a 5 day turnaround special.

robBobGolf, the 5 day special has created a backlog of entering the orders. your order is 5 business days. the "service" level is 35 business days. start counting your business days from the day psa received it and they will still make the "service" level in plenty of time . I think that is exceptional service. remember this is a $5 special so you should expect longer turnaround times and a backlog. up until the end of this month things were rolling out in less than 2 weeks, less than 10 business days on a 35 day special. everybody sent in the rush from mid month on and it has slowed things down which is to be expected
  • Just got one of my "Thank You" notices for the two separate 50-card submissions sent in during the week of Feb 23 to 27. Still waiting on the second one. But, hey, its a start! I have another submission ready to go but I'm hesitant to send it in until PSA gets caught up. I wonder if others are also delaying submissions because of this bottleneck?
