That looks very nice, but treated wood (varnished, stained, etc.) exudes fumes that does funky things to coins ... even slabbed, I would not take a chance.
I thought half the reason they are in a slab is to protect them from the elements. Either they are sealed or they are not. If they are really sealed, they should be able to be stored in a rusty box full of salt water. John
