ebay users, possibly OT, but maybe not.

I have not seen anything menioned about this, wanted to ask. I asked a question to a seller (only one) maybe a month ago. suddenly I am getting maybe 5 or more emails a day with titles like this: "RE: Question for seller -- Item #184551863" None of them are the auction I was inquiring about. I am afraid they are either just junk or worse, malicious in nature. anybody else get them?

Sounds like he's spamming you by replying to your question multiple times with unrelated emails. image

your email address has been sold to spammers. Put that seller on your "Do-Not-Order" list.

  • I just went into my trash and looked, the sender name and the supposed auction that it is about is different each time one of them is sent. Seems like an odd way to try to send spam, using a fake auction inquiry response.

  • New scam!
I got the exact same type of email & sent it to eBay.
eBay said it was a fake email & not to reply to it. If you reply, you will receive 100's of Spam advertisements!

I have been geting those messages too. But all the ones I've been getting have had this 32.mydoom virus attached. My virus protection program has caught everything. Most have been attached to some type of Ebay email I have sent or from past customers I have sold to.image
