Buying sight unseen uncertified gold is a risky proposition. Buying sight unseen uncertified pre-1840 is crazy. Doing it from a no feedback seller who admits to polishing... insane!

The pic actually looks good with nice luster - I wonder if you are even getting the same coin.

According to the seller, yes. In an email, he stated that an unprofessional would have harshly cleaned it. The professional did not harshly clean it. Go figure.
