Unpalatable eBay Descriptions

A big peeve for me. Frequently, sellers describe their medals in erotic ways. Nude this and nude that. One medal, in lovely art nouveau style, was described as young boys coming on to naked river goddess! (If I remember correctly, the medal actually commemorated river traffic). Cherubs are described as something more mortal. Insulting to the memory of the artist, and to the character of the buyer. I guess this is meant to attract some particular buyers, but there was a medal that I would have liked to bid on, but I would hate for my ID to become associated with something that could be considered prurient. I decided to pass it by. Just put up the darned graphic.

Harasha, I hope this type of hype comes as no surprise. Been going on since the dawn of time, in one way or another...
