Looks like some kind of replica, not a coin.

Edit: I see Andy is fleet of finger this evening.

Silver round. But one I would not trust as it is not marked with either content or manufacturer. (unless it is marked on the edge.) I've seen those reported many times and they are always described as being silver and weighing one troy oz.

The first time I heard about this piece the seller got real upset with me when I told him it wasn't a real coin. He insisted that it was because he was told it was by the silver bullion dealer he bought it from. . . . in Lebanon! image

Like conder sez, 1 oz silver round (probably) made to look kinda like a US coin. Nice "trick" too. Since the Mint never made silver IH dollars, don't need to mark it as a copy.

"Trolling for eBay idiots". I do this too, but it takes too much effort to be dishonest. All that scheming and plotting upfront and then the war of words with cheated sellers. Too much work. I'm just too lazy to be a fraud.

No because it doesn't even come close to being like any of our coins. And since it isn't a copy of any existing coin it doesn't have to comply with the hobby protection act either. This piece is perfectly legal. And since it isn't marked with a composition either it can be made of any material as well.

After reading his comments, I'm tempted to advise him to buy it from himself, since he says he never tries to sell something he wouldn't buy himself>>>>image
