TCMA reprinted cards and created sets in the 70z and early 80z. They were located in either Peekskill or Yorktown NY. My friend worked in Printing back then and would cut the sheets that TCMA would print. The owner of TCMA would get permission from Topps and reprint Bowman cards. He also would create sets like Hall of famers etc. When I had my card store in the early 80z many folks shunned them. Now however a market has developed for them. Not being a major company you don't see them in Beckett. I am not sure if the standard catalouge of cards lists them.......
    Good for you.

oh, he also was in the ground floor of the minor league craze, but then it was thought that he would reprint them and that is what turned many off at the time.
    Good for you.
  • need more information on the back of the card..Beckett only shows 1975 TCMA All Time Greats on line but the number 32 it lists with it does not match the 2000 Standard Catalog
  • looking throught the CATALOG..THE FRONT OF THAT CARD SURE LOOKS SIMILAR to 1921 or 22 American Carmel
could the single be a reprint?
  • No problem Kabir,

I get the feeling your watching me very closely seeing what I'm bidding on and snipe me at the last minute. Hmmmm, I should be more careful when I bid on an auction...lol. 5 times you sniped me at the last second...lol. image

The 1972 TCMA card is real, it's just a reprint of the 1915 & 1920 carmel cards that the seller got signed.

If I won, I was going to send it in for a "Authentic" Holder only grade to PSA/DNA and use it as a filler until a better one comes along. because it's so off centered that it would bring the grade down in my set. George Sisler's autograph is very hard to find, so you got an excellent deal on this one. It's better than a 3x5 card.

  • I just got an email from the seller

"card is dated 1972 on verso." I guess verso means reverse...so that card as mention does exist.

Jery, This one I saw way before you bid since I won quite a few cards from him, I don't remember looking at what people bid on ?? How do you do that? Can you tell me image
