This is a business question. Please comment on it from that angle.

PCGS and NGC are no-brainers to survive.

ANACS is also a no-brainer, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it change hands. (No, that's not based on anything but my gut.)

ICG is a probable survivor with a chance to gain significant market share. They have a nice little niche. I have no idea if they're losing money or wildly profitable, but they can always scale down if necessary.

Many of the rest will remain, even if as walking wounded. I have no idea which of them will fold.

  • Can't tell which good companies will be in buisness, but I have a pretty good idea on which bad companies will be.ACG will go out of buisness in the next one or two years due to more and more people finding out they overgrade.I believe NTC has already fulfilled its duty as being the next ACG and probably will for a while.SGS will go out after a while, perhaps after 3 or 4 years due to there obvious overgrading abilities.PCI and Trugrade will both stay but will no longer grade coins in the large mass they do now.

The 5 that survive will be the 5 that best appeal to the market niche they're trying to reach.
