Just ordered a couple of roll sets. It's the paper they roll these things in, I tell you; it's the paper!

Does that mean we will see them in circulation soon?

Just ordered my 5 sets (10 rolls). They should be coming out in the next month or two for general circ.

What is the Mint asking for them? P & D I presume?

The mint wants $8.95 for a two roll order, one roll of "P" and one of "D".

What's with the below line? Is there 2 different type of reverses coming out?

Yes, there are two reverses this year, then two more next year. 2006 it goes back to Monticello.
  • Is this going to be like collecting BU rolls of State Quarters? In other words, are these going to be so plentiful that we are just wasting storage space by getting them?

It seems pretty cheap to just award the guy $1000 for the design.

Of course I would be happy to have my design on a coin, but unfortunately they would just look like stick men.

is the price of a nickel a bit much from the mint?
And will these be a hit like the 50 state collections?image

Considering $1,000 was the same prize given for the 1916 designs, and the 1938 Jefferson nickel I would have to agree. Almost 100 years with no increase in compensation sheesh.
