New SMR

Could someone please tell me what smr they have. I have the Russell Shaq cover and it seems like its been a while since getting one. thanks,

    Im in the same boat...never had a problem with delivery...but I never received the March 2004 issue. Hopefully I will get the next one.
  • Got the April issue with Mr. October on the front just the other day.

    I've received 2 since renewing in September, the Nomar cover and the Shaq & Russell cover which I had to call customer service to get. I guess that I will probably have to call each month to see if I deserve one. I expect my online to be messed up too. My subscription runs out on March 16th, but it should be good until my membership runs out in September. I was told that it would update automatically, but with the frequency of my receiving the SMR hard copy, I doubt this will go smoothly.

    I have received 1 issue since joining in September. I find it funny now, and would be disappointed if I ever received another SMR...

    I received 8 out of 12 the yr. I was a member. I never received an invite back, or a reminder that my sub. was running out.
  • We joined in January and have yet to receive a single one. Funny, we were just talking about that a couple of nights ago.

    Last time I was a member, I received 2 out of 12 issues (one of them was after calling Customer Service). I'm calling them now, since I joined back up in January and haven't received one yet.



    Update: Spoke with Laura in Customer Service, who said that the new issues were going out this week. If you are missing issues, call customer service as they may be able to extend your subsciption for your missing issues.

    Has a nice article in it by our own Mantlefan, and a Goodwin auction catalog.

    You can also call 800-325-1121. The other number is the corporate toll free line just in case this causes any confustion.
    Either number work.

    When you join the Collectors Club, your first issue is 6-8 weeks out, like any other subscription.

    We joined in January and have yet to receive a single one. Funny, we were just talking about that a couple of nights ago.

    I too joined in early January no SMR and No free calendar they are still advertising.

    I understand the 6-8 week wait when you join the
    Collectors Club (I allow them time to input all my data
    into the system, etc....) but once that is done and the first
    issue arrives, I cannot understand why there should ever
    be another problem. One person posting above received
    only 2 of 12 issues?? This is totally unacceptable to me.
    Of course the SMR is only a guide and truth be told, I don't
    use mine very much except to read the occasional nice article
    but if it's advertised as a perk to join the Collector's Club,
    then we should get it.
    Now that the Apr issue includes the Goodwin auction catalog,
    everyone seems to be getting their copy right on time.
    Why do you suppose that is??? (no need to answer, it was rhetorical).

    You are correct; you should not see a stop in service. You can call customer service and ask for someone in memberships. They will be able to tell if your name was indeed pulled for the mailing list. We need to be able to track specific problems to see if the problem is with the mailing house. If something happens in route with the post office are hands are tied a little. In the past we have heard stories of people complaining to their mail carrier and then never having another problem.
    Either way, if you contact the customer service department and let them know you did not receive the issue, they will send one out to you right away.

    boggs...Your calendar is on the way. All of the ones that I had on my desk were gone and I needed to wait until some returned to me from a show.

    Good. Maybe we'll get ours soon, next month at the latest hopefully. We'll see if we also get the calendar like Boggs. No big deal on that though. Mainly just want the SMR.

    Finally received my Jackson SMR today. This is only the 3rd one since I renewed in September, and I had to call and ask for my Feb issue. My online membership will expire on March 16th (this is what the online version states), although it should be good until early Sept. I was told that it would automatically renew, how come I sense another phone call to PSA next Thursday?

    Well, the 17th has arrived and my online SMR and Pop Report has expired. I renewed in Sept and it was susposed to be good for 1 year, I was told by customer service in February that I had no need to worry and it would update automatically, obviously I was told whatever I wanted to hear just to get me off of the phone. In 7 months since my renewal I have received 3 SMRs in the mail, and I had to call and request one. Is it just me or is anyone else having these customer service problems?

    Not that one in particular, but I am currently receiving less than mediocre service from PSA regarding an onsite submission of wrongly grraded cards that I turned in at the Hollywood Park show. For some reason, returning phone calls is not part of the "service".

    I have not received the Jackson SMR in the mail. I had to call customer service to receive the Holyfield one (a month later).

    February is the last one i recieved. I called customer service last week and I still havnt seen it. Really frustrating when you have to call a company to get something that you paid for.

    I am probably in the minority, but I joined the collectors club for the SMR and the few free submissions that come with it. If I continue having trouble w/them, I may just keep my money.
