So I'm waiting to snipe a 1921-S Buffalo nickel on eBay. It's a beaut. PCGS MS64 rattler with great luster and no spots.

All weekend, I've lost sleep trying to decide whether or not I was willing to make such a commitment.

The time draws near and I decide that I'm gonna pull the trigger.

20 minutes before the auction ends I boot up my computer. There's only been one bid so far.

10 minutes left and the bidding hasn't changed.

I refresh my screen at 5 minutes and still no new bids.

3 minutes left and I can feel that adreneline rush starting to kick in.

2 minutes and my heart is starting to pound.

1 minute and....

and....

and where did the action go?

DAMN! THE SELLER ENDED THE AUCTION EARLY!

WHY! WHY! WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buyer and seller of vintage coin boards!

he/she didn't want someone to get the coin for the opening bid and possibly thought it would see alot more action.

    uh, that just hurts.

I was almost as excited as if it were going to be mine. Sorry to hear that.

e-mail the seller and tell him/her you were going to bid in the last seconds and see if they still want to sell it.
