If he enjoyed opening them and it brought back those "days of old"memories, then he did well.

You will have about 12 short prints in heritage to find too....you can find the list here on an old
heritage post....any card numbered 398 or higher is also a short print! Those are about 5.00 a pop
and more for the stars and rookies. I would be interested in any if you are trading.
As far as the DLP, you got 35 bucks in just the Delmon's. Like any rookie product you have to sit
and wait on these guys.
Nice pull on the Tug...one of the last ones he would ever sign..too bad the Podres wasn't in your
heritage. Roberts...one of the greats!

Jay, Heritage $80, Topps Retired $170, DPL $70, 03-04 Basketball $55. Yes, I did get that old feeling of what will I get. I do have a lot of gum from the Heritage box. LOL. I think I will stick to vintage collecting as I am more familiar with that. As I stated I do like the Topps Retired, but the cost is way out there.

I'm a vintage collector but there's nothing like buying a couple of boxes and ripping them open. Back when cards were in series, I was clueless and thought I was the unluckiest guy in the world not realizing that I didn't have a chance - but the excitement with your buddies when you open a pack can't be described if you've never done it!
