Can they all be fake?

This is one of a dozen or more auctions put up by this guy with opening bids at a small fraction of Krause.

They are all for low face value coins that aren't likely to have been counterfeited for circulation, and the pictures all look like well circulated pieces. His feedback is 453 positive and zero negs in the past year, and 1081 and 3 overall, with lots of repeaters (final rating 579).

Two people that I frequently bid against for Japanese coins have put in bids on most of the new listings.

He has no closed auctions for Japanese coins within the 90 days that listings are still available for.

Sooooooo ? ? ? ? ?

So, place a low bid and see what happens. You'll either

    1) pay and receive these 2 half sens at a bargain price
    2) pay and receive two fakes
    3) pay and receive nothing

They don't look fake to me. Wiat and see what happens to the price over the next few days.

And, as i am sure you know, the dates are 1873 and 1877. image

Also, keep in mind that the 1877 has v-scales, not square scales.
