My "good deal" not so good.

The first time I ever bid in one of these Vintage Road Show Live auctions, I end up not only winning, but also was the only bidder. Cool I think, a 43D Washington PCGS MS65 for 25 smackers. Even with the 15 percent buyers premium, and sales tax, only 30.69. COOL, until I finally look at the shipping charge. 12 bucks! OUCH! No wonder I was the only bidder. I usually always check the shipping charge first. I don't think I'll be bidding in these auctions anymore. Glad I didn't get it at my max bid of 40.

  • Looks like a pretty nice quarter, at leastimage
  • That's still only $2.69 over your maximum bid, right?
Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery?

True, but I usually make it a point not to bid if the shipping is excessive, which in this case is excessive.

  • You should have bought 10 of them, the $12 shipping was up to 10 items (see listing)
