If you could only have 20 coins, what would they be?

Inspired by the thread about the box of twenty, I thought it might be interesting to find out what people would keep if they could only have 20 coins. Mine would be, in no particular order:

3. 1837 10c
4. 1793 wreath 1c
5. 1856-O 50c
6. 1907 5c
7. Trajan Circus Maximus sestertius
8. Corinthian stater
9. 1776 8 reales
10. Henry II short cross 1d
11. Henry III long cross 1d
12. 1770 half penny
13. Edward III groat
14. Edward VI base shilling
15. 1916 50c
16. 1870-S $20
17. Celtic (british) stater
18. Anglo-Saxon sceatta

  • Donavan's list is very close to what I think I would want for myself. However, I would have to include an owl from Athens and a stater from Croesus. I'd take out the Edward VI base shilling and the Corinthian to compensate.

    Oh, and I'd substitute a 1907 HR $20 for the 1870-S $20.
