This card is freakin awesome! Anyone have a guess as to what the final hammer price will be?
1887 Old Judge PSA 8

Ok someone educate me. How in the world can this be an 8 with the bottom edge like it is? I don't deal with these really old cards, but I thought the PSA standards were the same for any card whether its 1887 or 2004. If I sent in a 1974 Topps card with the edge like this, well, you guys know what would happen.

Please explain this to my ignorate brain.

Cutting tools have advanced in the last 100+ years and are a consideration in the grading process.

should I post a picture of the Horizontal one in an 8 holder I have on the Registry.......... this guy is all over e-bay of late bidding on tons of vintage everything but I have a hand ful of 7's that are nicer looking than this card. Guess,I will scan some later as soon as I figure out how to make small enough scans.
