Who says you have to spend megabucks for a nicely toned Morgan?

    Eric,

It looks very nice, but you didn't say how much image
    Also, slabbed or raw?
    Grade?

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    Eric,

On 2nd thought, and knowing that you have superb tastes in morgans, I don't think that coin is nice enough for you.
So, let me help you out by offering to let you send it to me. I will even send you a nice, newer, dollar than that one for it image

Ron, what do you think it would grade?

Bryan, cute? I think it is very nice, a genuine rainbow, though the bands are not fully defined.

Well, my whole point of posting this is the fact that some would have you believe you have to break the bank to get a nice, obverse toned Morgan. Not true, and I have many. I unloaded most of my "monster" coins a few years ago to pay for some of the better dates.

I'm probably wrong, again image, Eric, but I would say MS63, maybe MS64. Reason I would say that is that the hits in the obv (left of face) field and the hits in the reverse.

But, the pics are so large they may not appear like that just seeing them. So, since you know I am still learning, I will admit possibly wrongitude right up front. image

I think it is a very nice strike though, and has nice luster is my guess. But, I am not thinking above MS64.

And, you are still hiding the price image
Did you get it on ebay? Or, is this one of your deals local to you?

Edited to add: at the auction I went to yesterday, that think would have brought in $300-$500 easy...those fools were bidding common morgans that were circ or MS63 max and gunmetal grey, up to $50-$70+ per coin. They did not look nice at all...none of them I saw.

Very good Ron, those hits on the cheek to the left of the ear are what limit this to a MS63. It's in a PCGS holder.

The photo doctors have killed toned coins for the most part on eBay. I snagged this coin for $79. If I wanted to sell it, I could get $125 easily at any of our regional shows. The seller had enough photos in the auction to tell this had nice, original bag toning. This will be going in my permanent set of affordable toners.

    Very cool!

Thanks for showing it and letting me guess.

It is nice and while not "monster" toned, it looks very good in a collection.

Good job on using your expertise for a good winner!

I don't know if you have any nicely colored coins, but you may want to take a look at the ANACS MS62 that seller has up. It looks like it has nice color, and being a 62 will probably go cheap.

Any time you can buy a nicely toned Morgan for under $80, you've done good Rocky.
