Most expensive Palmer rookie...

$2300 for an SGC MINT OPC Palmer rookie! For comparison, two PSA-9 regular Topps versions recently sold for ~$1100. The high (and only) bidder rosie7495 seems to be buying a lot of high end stuff lately...

Makes the $400 I spent on my SGC NM/MT+ OPC seem like a bargin...

anyone remember what bmw was asking for theirs? I thought I saw it listed a few times and didn't think it was that high?
  • The one you probably saw was my NM/MT+ (which I got from BMW a while ago). The one that just sold for $2300 is MINT and the seller says it was just graded.

aro , care to elaborate? i think I know where you are going but others probably do not. you can't run by changing your id. by the way since i have never dealt with this seller so I am not passing judgments, he was last discussed about the psa 9 kareem rookie with all the space in the holder, I happened to look at my 70 basketball cards that I had graded from a pack I opened and all of them had similar space in the holder, is this common on the tall boy holder?

    another Moser id...
  • As a pre-77 OPC collector, I believe OPC premiums over Topps are definitely warranted. However, the price for this Palmer rookie was insane (one bidder too.)

There's a current bidding frenzy for a 1975 OPC Ryan that makes more sense, it might top $1000.
