1962 Jefferson arrived today.

Well, I received the 1962 Jefferson in the mail today. The coin has the exact same kind of splotchy brown toning that my other 1962 in PR-67CAM has. It has very nice mirrors and frosty devices. Here are pictures for those that were interested in it in the other thread. I am very satisfied with the coin.image

CAM or DCAM?? the picture says DCAM. either way it's a fine looking example. judging from the pictures it was held at 67 by strike weakness and if it's indeed only a CAM, by the weaker reverse frost. i've found PCGS to be a bit fickle when handing out the DCAM designation. they'll give it to a coin with weaker frost so long as there are no frost breaks and it's even on both sides. at the same time, a coin with heavyier frost and slight high-point breaks which isn't even on both sides will be CAM'd.

the one below is the ultimate goal to shoot for, but try finding that on a pre-1964 coin!!

  • Keets, that is the coin that I talked about in this thread. The coin is graded PCGS PR-68DCAM. I probably confused you when I said that it had the same kind of toning as the 1962 PR-67 Cam that I currenly have in my set. I am sorry if I confused you.image
