Finally finished those Walkers

Ya know....one of the first coins I ever "bought" was a 1916s Walking Lib Half wayyyyy back in 1972 when I was around 12 years old! I since deviated to copper cents for the most part plus a few other series . On the copper I have been collecting BU all the way back through the entire IHC series.

Today, I purchased a AU 1916s Half (at $700 bucks mind you...yikes) and now have a nicely matched set completed in XF/AU condition! IT TOOK 32 YEARS TO ACTUALLY COMPLETE THIS SERIES, so when your local dealer or collector freind tells you "this hobby is one for a lifetime" and... "don't rush and be prudent when making purchases" ITS GOOD WISE ADVICE!

The moral of this story is not to feel like you must RUSH to complete a series hahahaha...Have a nice day!

Yeah Marty at 32 years to complete and the last coin was the same as the first one I ever bought I figured based on the size of the series I acquired one coin about every 6 months since I was 12. haha

Pics...yeah...About three weeks ago I had a few forum members help me out on using my NIKON 3100 and I posted a couple lousy pics of some Lincolns and Indians that I felt did not do the coins much justice. With the Walkers though I would not feel so bad if they were not perfect as afterall they are circ mostly (XF 60% AU 35% VF 5%)... When I get home a little later I'll post and please excuse any amateurish photos as for starters I'm not good yet at that and secondly the photos will be of coins as they appear in the Dansco album

Good luck on those quarters... a set of those in even VF are quite difficult!
