Most assuredly NOT another ho-hum MS No Cents Liberty nickel...

We just sold this (PCGS MS66) to a client, who generally prefers to buy older, rarer coins. But, I guess he liked the looks of it, as I do.
We gladly paid roughly a 25% premium for it, due to its color and special look. These are NOT really difficult to find, even in grades through MS66 - PCGS has certified 229 MS66's and 11 MS67's. However, they rarely possess great color, they often display several weakly struck stars on the obverse and are typically generic-looking, ho-hum items.
This one is different!

I have a few nice Liberty nickels, but this one takes the cake
Is this picture a pretty accurate representation of the color, or does it "flatter" the coin?

The colors remind me of a couple of NGC Buffalos that PCGS wouldn't cross for me.
Is there a reason that you know of as to why colorful Liberties are not as prevalent as colorful Buffalos?

I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.

I'm thinkin' 90 minutes tops.
We'll use our hands and hearts and if we must we'll use our heads.
Also, I want to add: Nice coin. I like the obv die crack. I know that that stuff is rather arcane, but perhaps Sir Feldini can comment on that?!?

<< <i>what is one of those in very good condition worth? >>
Mozeppa, if you mean literally in VG condition, it's about a $4 coin.
<< <i>gotta agree that.... >>
DorkKarl - I'm shocked, not to mention, very disappointed in you.
